Don’t eat lunch, trust me.
Day 17.
We went to the Petwood Hotel in the heart of Lincolnshire for some afternoon tea and light chatter. We were fed well and the grounds were astounding, even in the winter months. There was a bit of construction but there were some beautiful parts you can just imagine walking with your significant other in the summer sun.
Afternoon tea was amazing. I could easily gain 10 pounds (a little under 1 stone) in the past when afternoon tea was held everyday traditionally. There were stones, tarts, finger sandwiches, biscuits, and cakes. Tea and coffee had many variations if one wanted. I tried a different type of tea that was really good (I need to ask Leanne about the flavor, Twinings made it… UPDATED [19/01/2017]: Assam tea).

I also had an interview for the radio with the lovely Deborah Wilson David about the culture around tea and a bit of the history about the Petwood. It was fun. I learned a lot and I do believe that interviews get easier after one has done a few. I often get a tad awkward and anxious so that does not help. But with Deborah Wilson David it was easy. Thank you. I will need to return to the Petwood in the future.
