Day 10
The Beatles Museum was all that I wanted it to be. I spent about an hour and a half walking and listening to the audio tour and also talking to Prof. about Mellotron and John Lennon’s Piano. It was fun to geek out about music again with other people which is something that really sparks a friendship with me if you can handle talking music with me.

I was never the biggest fan of The Beatles when I was younger, but some of their songs have carried on the test of time like “I Want to Hold Your Hand” and “Blackbird.” The massive hysteria and manic that The Beatles had on the world, especially younger women, is by far why they have standed the test of time. Nothing has gotten close to that, with contenders being Michael Jackson and maybe David Bowie. The fab four took on the world at a good time too in relation with the media around music entertainment. Records soon become more accessible and easier to produce. The public could get their hands on music like never before.
When writing this, I am listening to the Across the Universe soundtrack, tearing up to “Let It Be.” You cannot credit all the popularity to media technology, their lyrics touched millions then and across many generations. If you can hit the heartstrings or describe a feeling perfectly, you got a great song.
