Set Your TV for the Queen

Day 5 (jumping around here… sorry. Jumpers for goalposts tho)

Wait, the Queen! Happy belated birthday. It was nicer to say it in the same country, right.

We went to see The Tower of London which encompasses so many different ancient buildings within the walls of the Tower of London. Ravens that keep the tower safe and dungeons that housed many tortured souls, the Tower had something for everyone.

My favorite part was the Crowned Jewels. Even though I could not pull a Sherlock (sad about that, IOU), the jewels were beautiful. Almost entrancing. A more than 500 carrot diamond in an orb, talk about heavy. I remembered watching The Crown via Netflix original when the current reigning monarch Queen Elizabeth was coronated at such a young age. Now the longest reigning monarch, her coronation was the first televised ceremony in the history on monarchs. Being right at the beginning of television, it was the time to do it even though people criticized the idea. Either way, watching a ceremony with such grandeur and prestige for the commoners to see is way television can be so powerful and moving.
